Introducing the 0-gauge model railroad layouts!

Gauge 0: Stadtoldendorf Gypsum Railway / Duingen Sand Railway

On the Stadtoldendorf Gypsum Railway 0e layout, the extraction, processing and transportation of the gypsum stones from the quarry to the gypsum works and on to the loading of the finished product are described.
All processes correspond to what actually happened on the prototype that operated until 1958.
All buildings and vehicles have been reproduced from original drawings or photos.
The highlight of the layout is the replica of the braking hill.
The model railroad layout “Duinger Sandbahn” consists of six segments and shows the transportation of sand with a light railroad from the pit to a standard-gauge branch line.
The sand is loaded manually and unloaded mechanically using a tipper wagon.
